Is Having Duodenal Ulcer A Cause For Concern?

Yes. My mother is 5'4' and weighs 109. She has been diagnosed with a duodenal ulcer. My mom maintained her weight of 132 for over 30 years. She lost over 20lbs in just days in Sept. Her GI has her on Prevacid three times daily and has done many tests including, Endoscopy, MRI, CBC and thyroid labs. All blood tests were normal except for the presence of a large Duodenal Ulcer. She hasn't lost her appetite. Mom has always had a healthy appetite and has continued her normal eating habits. Her husband passed away on Aug.2, 2014. Any other suggestions?
