Is Herpes A Contagious Disease?

I was dating this girl and she got symptoms of herpes on her vagina about 3 weeks ago she got tested and results were positive but we havent had any sexual intercourse in over a month and a half. I havent had any symptoms or anything... I dont think i have it but idk what to do
