Is Hip Replacement Advisable For Moderate Arthritis?

feels like sciatica from my right hip, down my quadricep ending at my kneecap... like a hard muscle cramp in quadricep. very difficult to walk. sometimes i can walk fine, and then suddenly my quad is too tight to move. always achy. Orthopedist took xrays of hips. says i have moderate arthritis in right hip and am good candidate for hip replacemnt, but i dont feel confident about that diagnosis. pls help. thanks
