Is Hyperpigmentation Permanent?

hello doctor i used garlic juice on the black spots on my face but it burnt my skin and suffered from hyperpigmentation. iam using a sun block and kojic cream how long will it take for the pigmentation to become normal?it is nor permanent right? its been a month i am using these products
