Is Hysterectomy Advisable For Scar Tissue And Abdominal Pain?

I have a scar tissue and abdominal pain each month after having an ablation 10 years ago on my uterus. The surgeon now tells me to get a hysterectomy. My question is, what if I don t get the hysterectomy, will further damage occur? Can it cause cancer?
