Is Hysterectomy The Best Treatment For Cyst In Ovaries?

In November, tests indicated a cyst on one ovary. Follow up in February, cyst is still there - no change in size. I don t have any pain. I ve had one really heavy period during the last five months, otherwise bleeding as normal. My doctor recommended having ovaries removed and D&C procedure. Consulted a plastic surgeon for a pannectomy to be done at the same time. Now the first doctor is recommending a hysterectomy at the same time as pannectomy as I will have a larger incision already. I m confused and don t know if I should have any surgery at this point. What do you advise?
