Is Intake Fo Eliquis Safe For One Little Atrial Flutter?

I am Seriously concerned regarding the use of Eliquis versus low dose 81mg coated aspirin. I do not have high pressure today it was perfectly normal. I have had 4 48 hr halter monitor tests six months apart i.e. over 2 years. My last 48 hour monitor in January showed one little atrial flutter. Dr thought I should take 2 50mg of Eliquis daily. The thought of this high powered anticoagulants scare me to death. Although I agree a stroke is not something anyone wishes upon themselves is the slight reduction in the risk of stroke worth the risk of all the other possible side effects.
