Is It A Migraine When You Get A Sudden Sharp

Is it a migraine when you get a sudden sharp stabbing pain on one side of your head, so bad my eyes were watering, I didn't want to open my eyes and I collapsed to my knees, holding onto furniture. I wasn't nauseous, I didn't see colors and I was in the middle of something I couldn't stop doing. Thankfully, it stopped after about a minute. Is this a migraine?
