Is It Advisable To Consume Wine When You Have Sore Throat?

Hello, I have been diagnosed with mono and recently gotten over the sore throat stage. I have felt no other symptoms. My question is, can I have a few glasses of wine? I am in Napa, CA as we speak and it is going to be difficult for me to reject the offers of free wine. Please advise.
