Is It Advisable To Leave Part Of The Infected Ovary Attached To Bowels In The Body?

Hello,I have recently had my right fallopian tube removed and also my right ovary was the size of an orange. During the operation the surgeons only took out half of my ovary. I am expected to have the other half out in 6/7 weeks. What I want to know is?? Is it dangerous to leave an infected "half" ovary inside of my body as they have said it is attached to my bowel.
