Is It Advisable To Take Boniva For Reduced Bone Density Levels?

Had a bone density test done. AP Spine L1 L2 -2.7 Do not want to take medication nothing like Boniva. Trying to stay with supplements like vitamins. I weigh 130lbs and I am 5 7. But my spine does not bother me. I had to loose weight. I did weight 190 lbs. Doctor wants me to take something like Boniva.
