Is It Advisable To Take Double Dosage Of Aleve Along With Stretching For Plantar Fasciitis In Foot?

I have plantar fascitis in my left heel with much inflammation..I have been advised by a podiatrist to take 2 Aleve twice a day to help with that, in addition to stretching, wearing a boot and brace at night.. Is it dangerous to take that much every day? I am a 70 year old female who basically is in good health...
