Is it difficult to withdraw from taking Primidone (Mysoline)? Is it long or short acting medication. Currently I am taking 4 tablets of 250mg which originally my Psychiatrist prescribed for me, now he wants me to reduce the dose as I get drowsy. I do not suffer from epilepsy or convulsions, Primidone was prescribed for Anxiety and Depression where other medications failed. I am aged 51 and suffer from Bipolar II, Severe Anxiety, Restless Legs Syndrome & Irritable Bowel and also nearly daily Migraines
