Is It Harmful To Inhale Ammonia Inspite Of Having Open Wound?

I work as a homemaker. I have been asked to go and clean an apartment that is the worst smelling of urine I have ever experienced. Apparently the gentleman that lives there has a dribble problem. I'm very nervous about going in there. I have an open wound from a cancer biopsey, but keep it bandaged. Is it safe to go in there? What about the amonia smell. Is it dangerous to breath?
