Is It Normal For New Bruise To Appear Two Weeks

Is it normal for new bruise to appear two weeks after a fall? I fell two weeks ago and severely bruised my knee and shin. I now have new bruising on my ankle. The knee is still swollen and the bruising is better but is still there. I had the knee replaced 5 years ago. I saw my doctor last week and he xrayed the knee and I did not damage the implant. I am just a litttle concerned about the new bruises.
