Is It Normal For Thirteen Year Old Girl To Have Irregular Periods?

Hello I am 13 years old & I am having sexual intercourse, I always use contraception and I am now 10 days late for my period. I took a pregancy test 2 weeks after sex and it came otu negative, Is this right ? Or is it just normal at this age to have irregular periods
