Is It Normal For Tooth Pain To Worsen After Starting Azithromycin, And Will The Pain Go Away Soon?

Hi, I m taking azithromycin for a rotting broken tooth that will be extracted in a few days. Today is my 1st day taking 500 mg. But it made the pain indescribably horrible! I took 4 tylenols and it didn t help. It actually hurts MORE now than before I went to the dentist. Is this normal? Will this pain go away?
