Is It Normal, For Your Jaw, To Fall Open, And

Is it normal, for your jaw, to fall open, and wake w really dry mouth,when sleeping on your back? Im 65, this only starting happening, last couple years.I do structural bodywork. A client said I should check f deviated septum. But Ive never broke nose. Nose looks straight to me.
