Is It Normal To Experience Fever (alongside Usual Aching Period

Is it normal to experience fever (alongside usual aching period pain in abdomen and lower back) with my period? I have had a fever for 3 days, bled lightly for 2 days then very heavily for one day (with clots) and now all seems to be going away. Panadol helped the fever, but after about 5 hours it would return until after I took more paracetamol.
