Is It Normal To Get Sharp Stabbing Pain And Cramping During Period?

I got my period 2 days ago, its light and im getting small but alot of blood clots,i dont usually cramp much during my period, but last night i had a sharmp stabbing like pain and it lasted from 30-45 minutes and i have been lightly cramping after,is this normal?
