Is It Normal To Have Clear Fluid And Blood Discharge From The Tip Of Nail?

Hi, yesterday I accidentally tripped and hit my pinky toe on a hard abject really hard. The nail was broken But too painful to trim. This morning I finally cut the nail short to cut under a crack in the nail. When I cut it, clear fluid and blood came out from under the tip of the nail. Is this normal for this type of injury?
