Is It Normal To Have Grey Colored Clots After Cervical Cauterization ?

I had cervical cauterization with silver nitrate done today. All my doctor told me was to expect some black discharge. I am having what look like dark grey coloured clots and a lot of bright red bleeding. Is this normal and who long should i expect it to last?
