Is It Normal To Have Heavier Bleeding Two Weeks After A Coil Insertion, And Will It Continue For Months At Perimenopausal Age?

Is it common to have an even heavier bleed two weeks after coil fitted. I had a coil fitted to reduce bleeding my womb lining was 13mm thick I am at the perimenopausal age (50 in summer)

Am I likely to keep bleeding like this for many months like a normal period
