Is It Normal To Have Pain And Puss Discharge Post Treatment For Bartholian Cyst?

Hi. I have inflamed bartholian since beginning do December, 1st I&D was unsuccessful, cyst inflamed even more, had another I&D in 6 days, felt relieve right away, however in 7 days developed a huge abscess, couldn't walk or seat, went to ER, abscess burst itself when doctor touch it, MD placed Word catheter in, it stays already for 9 days, still have pus coming out around catheter and it hurts. Is it normal to have pain still?
