Is It Normal To Have Pain And Swelling After Circumcision?

I have been circumcised 2 weeks ago. Although the healing process is coming along very nicely there are small swellings under the skin at the top of the shaft which become painful when the penis is erect. Is this normal and how long before these should heal?
