Is It Normal To Have Red Itchy Rash A Couple Of Days After Mosquito Bite?

Hi i came back off holiday(tunisia) about 2 and a half weeks ago. On one of my last days there I got a large painful mosquito bite,But didnt scratch or anything. The bite went purple and disappered nearly but two days ago the area of the bite began to bump and turn red and now theres a red itchy rash on the bite area and surrounding area..Is this normal? 21yrs,76 kg,172cm and have asthma.
