Is It Ok To Take Birth Control Pills While On Periods?

Hi I started taking the HCG drops, while still taking birth control - the generic yazz. Then after I was done taking the HCG drops on day 15 or around there, my period came a couple days later, it was probably 2 weeks earlier. Now I had also come back from the gynecologist before all this bleeding had occur. It could of helped the bleeding, but my main concern is that I did take birth control during those days I was bleeding. Not the white pill, Not the pills that I normally take while on my period. Is this ok? Should I stop taking birth control and wait till my next period and take the white pills and start the birth control over?
