Is It Okay To Take Ovranette Despite Having Contraceptive Implants In My Arm?

Hi i have a contraceptive implant in my arm at the moment, its after expiring and im waiting for a hospital appointment to take it out but in the mean time my gp has put me on ovranette, would it be ok to take them aswell as having a implant in my arm, he put me on the pils as he says theres no guarantee the implant is still working
