Is It Okay To Use A Regular Bandaid To Hold The String From My Kidney Stent In Place On My Penis?

Hi, I had kidney stone removal surgery and I have a stent in for about 7-10 days. There is a string attached to the stent, with the end of the string on the shaft of my penis, the doctor put tape on the string and put the string and tape on the shaft of my penis. After a few days the tape the doctor put on started to come off, is it okay to hold the string onto the shaft of my penis with a normal bandaid?
