Is It Possible For Hymen To Remain Intact After Intercourse?

i have had sexual intercourse with my boyfriend loads of times before i came of my period yesterday and we had sex today and it was quite painful and i bleed for about 3 mins and then it stopped could i have not of popped my cherry before during sex and with my other partners and it just only of popped today ?
