Is It Possible For Rose Thorn Arthritis To Heal Itself?

Is it possible for rose thorn arthritis to heal itself? I stuck a thorn in my knuckle two weeks ago and it swelled and then turn blue after a couple days than began to get better. Today it has begun to swell and get stiff and extremely painful. I had to pull the thorn out when I did it.
