Is It Possible For Someone To Contract HIV Even If Their Partners Consistently Test Negative For HIV During Annual Checkups?

I have a general question about some information that was shared with me & the person said the guy said he got this information from a doctor & it doesn’t sit well with me
The person told me that this guy they know was sleeping with two young women @ the same time & they all get their yearly Aids check up regularly & the results always come back negative but the guy still contracted HIV so my question to you is this possible
