Is It Possible To Get Hsv2 In A Non-sexual Situation?

Is it possible to get hsv2 in a non-sexual situation? I recently was tested for herpes and it came back positive for hsv2. I have only had 1 sexual partner and she is negative. I have had 3 breaks outs before getting tested and the first breakout I was when I was 15. I didn't have my first sexual experience until I was 18 and all I did was kiss someone. So, it makes no sense as to why I have hsv2. I just need all of this to make sense and for someone to explain to me how not being sexual results in an incurable STD?
