Is It Possible To Have Kidney Pain With A Uti

Is it possible to have kidney pain with a uti without the infection being in the kidneys? I am on my 3rd round of antibiotics. I haven't had a fever or any of the other usual signs of a kidney infection, but my kidneys have been quite sore the entire 3 weeks since I was diagnosed with the uti. Apparently my blood work and urine tests are negative for a kidney infection, and my kidney function is normal in the tests. There is also no blood to indicate kidney stones. But nobody seems to think that the pain in my kidneys should be happening.
