Is It Safe To Break Lymecycline And Mix With Water

Is it safe to break lymecycline and mix with water or milk and drink. As the capsules contain gelatin and I do not want to take gelatin.

I tried it once with water but did not mix it, it tasted horrible and very strong and made me feel unwell and gave me stomach problems for that day.
