Is It Safe To Cauterize Montgomery Glands?

Hi, I am 25 years old, never had a baby and have very prominent montgomery glands on my nipples. I'm so insecure about them to that point where I can't even become intimate with anyone because I feel so self conscious. I read that it can be removed through cauterization, is this true? If so, what will the procedure be like (duration of procedure, healing time, medication, etc.)? Thanks doc!
