Is It Safe To Continue With Pause For Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?

My age is 52 i hv regular periods i.e 28 days but in january 2015 its skipped to 10 days extra and bleed heavy i asked doctor and she advised to take pause mf till bleeding stopped. After using 5 tabs it stopped then i went complete body check i dont hv any helath problem papsmer test and ultrasound every thing ok gyneocologist told my periods will be stopped near by. In the month of feb 15 no periods but now in march 15 two days before bleeding started and its heavy so on doctor advise i used pause mf 5 tabs now its reduced. pl. advise me what to do?
