Is It Safe To Drive When On Oxycodone?

My elderly father was prescribed oxycodone,, and was told not to drive.. he still drives so what I am looking for is what can I do as his daughter to keep him from driving, do I need to have the doctor talk to me and go from there? not sure what to do.. he has fallen asleep at the wheel before and hit another car.
