Is It Safe To Give Ephedrex For Cough And Congestion

Is it safe to give Ephedrex for cough and congestion to my 6 month old baby ? My baby is suffering from cold n cough since 5 days. She is taking medicine namely Ephedrex But having no relief. She is trying to vomit but unsuccessful to release her cough. Even she cant sleep properly as she is coughing continously. Please advise. .
