Is It Safe To Give Xymex And Bendex Syrup For Cold And Cough To Infants ?

Hello Doctor,My son is 1 year old now. He is pre-matured baby. He is suffering from cold and cough since 1 week. He is not taking food for the past 1 week. Doctor suggested me to take Xymex syrup before food and Bendex drops at night. Is it safe to take these medicines.
