Is It Safe To Increase Oxycodone Dosage For Arthritis In Hips?

I m prescribed 30 mg oxycodone for severe arthritis in my hips . I have built up a tolerance as expected ( I started off on 15mgs) and now to keep a quality life that allows me to live with a pain level of 2 to 4 (on scale of 1 to 10 ) on a daily basis I need to ask him to raise my mg level again . I like to speak to him on a professional level and am at an impasse . The next step up I know is a 40mg time release pill , I previously have taken time release oxycodone prescribed by a pain clinic I used to go to but the time release worked very poorly for me and left the clinic . My question is can I get oxycodone in a 35mg pill without the time release prepared for me at a compound pharmacist ?
