Is It Safe To Take Amoxicillin For Pain,pressure And Clogging Of Ears?

I have had a terrible sinus infection, which led to plugged ears last week.Two days ago the pain in my left ear was unbearable, along with pressure. Went to the Dr yesterday, he said ear canal was fiery red and ear drum was buldging, so he prescribed amoxicillin. On my sixth dose and the pain has increased, parts of my face feel numb, and the pressure has also increased. I ve tried popping by plugging my nose and sucking in/blowing against it but it doesn t work, and I m afraid because of the pain.
