Is It Safe To Take Azithromycin For Chlamydia?

I was told I had chlymidia on Thursday and went into to get treatment on Friday and was given 2 dose of Azithromycin. I had the health district call my normal partners to let them know they ve been exposed. This morning one of my regular partners showed up and we had sex and now I m scared I ve been reexposed while I m still in the 7 day treatment process.
