Is It Safe To Take Gabapentin Over Lyrcia For Neuropathy?

I was on 1200mg of Gabapentin for 3 years for neuropathy in both hands and feet when my Neurologist put me on Lyrica and adjusted amount to 300mg a day. It seemed to be the answer for my foot pain and then I started getting severe veritgo, uncontrollable shaking in my hands, twitches in my right eye, profuse sweating and hard time breathing. but this was after taking it for months. what is in the Lyrica thats not in the Gabapentin? should I stop the Lyrcia and take gabapentin again. Pain pills don t help the stabbing , numb pain in my feet.
