Is It Safe To Take Galvus To Stabilise Hba1c Reading?

Hi am 33 years old, 6 1 feet, weight 83kgs and my hba1c reading came out 6.5. Doctor gave me galvus met 50/1000 to take twice daily. Isn t that a high dose. I took it for few days and onr day checked my sugar level in the evening, 7 hrs after lunch and it was showing a reading of 65. Which is too low.Kindly let me know what is your view ,Thanks,Royston
