My 5 your old granddaughter, has what has been diagnosed with Ahpdd and OCD (Sherwood Park with anxiety issue, wiphich I feel stem from the OCd. Her parents are trying their absolute best, taken her to specialist, trying Ritalin and fluvoxamine (I think that s the spelling) but since Ritalin, some of theme mediate melt downs have been warded off temporarily, nut the OCD is getting worse, can t get out of the house in the mornings changed clothes and shoes, many, many many times, till all hell breaks loose cause by now are late. They tried going to a sports venue for fun this evening, and my granddaughter had to being extra clothes and a couple pairs of shoes. All fine, till it was time to go (a change for her) whereby it took forever for her to out shoes on that she ceasars comfortable walking in, then following a meltdown of scream, biting and swearing. This followed by a ride home of screaming kicking swearing (and she s usually a sweet tiny 5 your old). By the time they got home, my granddaughter collapsed in their arms with such sadness and just held on crying saying she was so sorry. Our son, her uncle, was diagnosed with ADHD in school and put on Ritalin at age 12 and it worked miracles for him, but he didn t show sign of OCS. An what s not fair is he feels his sister is not handling the situation strictly enough and it NOT supportive, when you would think it would be the opposite. I really feel if my daughter and her family don t get some serious help soon, the so sequence are too scared to think about, I am her only sounding board on a daily basis and a therapist at CASA in Edmonton Alberta (but that s once in a while and they don t see the meltdowns or OCD ISSUES FIRST HAND LIKE WE DO) mp lease, where can we go for help with this little angel?
