Is It Safe To Take Spirolactone Tablet With History Of Goiter?

I have a nontoxic multinodule goiter. I do have minimal symptoms of hyperthyroidism from time to time ...like heart palpitations, intolerance to temps and periods of fatigue and high energy. My question is Can I safely take spirolactone for acne? It was prescribed by my dermatologist.
