Is It Safe To Take Tylenol Or Ibuprofen Prior To A Surgery?

my wife had knee surgery yesterday and was prescribed percocet and 800mg ibuprofen.she is in pain but has another surgery tomorrow am, they told her to take diazapam this evening for pre surgery on her mouth.
My question is can she take any pain meds at this time? I know percocet would be out of the question but can she take tylenol or ibuprofen?
