Is It Safe To Take Vicodin, Tramadol, Ativan And Phentermine Together?

my wife s Dr. has her on vicodins, tramadol, Ativan AND phentermine. She has a serious problem. She takes 180 vicodins, 90 tramadol, 60 ativans and 30 phentermines a month. However she may be trading her diet pills for more pain pills. Not only does he have her on all thses, he has been giving them to her for a long time. She has been on vicodins for over 2 years, Ativan for over 6 months maybe closer to a year and the tramadols are new, only been getting them for a couple of months. Is there any good reason why he has her on so much stuff?
