Is It Safe To Take Zantac For Acid Reflux?

Hello, My name is gesenia.I wanted to know how long does it take for the esophagus to heal from acid reflux ? I'm currently been prescribed zantac My doctor told me to take it for 2wks..I have no pain or anything . But ocassionally when I'm lying down I feel a quiver in my esophagus is that normal ?
